Campus Grants Program:

Over $75,000 is distributed annually to UM Dearborn faculty through the Campus Grant Program. 

The application deadlines are October 15 and February 15.

Faculty Grants include:

Research Initiation & Seed Grant (maximum award $6,000) 4 grants are awarded each semester.  This award provides funding for research projects which are designed to lead to proposals for external funding.

Research Support and Maintenance Grant (maximum award $6,000) 2 grants are awarded each semester.  This award provides funding for research projects in disciplines where there is little chance for external funding.

Educational Enhancement Grant (maximum award $1,500) 1 grant is awarded annually.  This grant enables faculty members to enhance the educational experiences of students through the development of new courses and curricula or the purchase of one-time course materials or equipment.

CASL Senior Faculty Scholarship Grant (maximum award $3,000) 2 grants are awarded annually.  This award is limited to full time CASL faculty who are working on either a manuscript or a major external grant proposal.

 

Student Grants include:

Undergraduate Research Fellowships provide up to eight fellowship stipends of $2,500 to UM-Dearborn undergraduate students whose academic record demonstrates preparedness and commitment to excellence who are invited by a UM-Dearborn faculty advisor to conduct independent research under their direction.

Student Research Grants provide up to $500 for independent research projects by UM-Dearborn students.  The project must be supervised by a faculty member and the project will ordinarily be related to the student's major field of study.
